Director of Marketing and Promotions: Lyman Missimer '11

Lyman Missimer is an '11 Anthropology modified w/ Economics Major and a member of the Varsity Men's Soccer Team. He is an avid fan of soccer aka football, and would love to pursue a career in this, or any area of sports business when he graduates. He has developed great analytical and quantiative skills working for an outsourcing consulting firm this past winter and summer, and would love to translate these skills towards one of his true passions: sports. Lyman has also acquired extensive experience on the business side of things, after completing an intensive business program at the Tuck School of Business during the 2010 summer. He hopes to combine his extensive knowledge of the sports world he has gained throughout his life with his recent experience on the the business side of things to really make a difference in the world of sports business.

Co-Director of Alumni Relations/Website Developer: Lane Shipley '11

Lane Shipley is an '11 History major and a member of the Varsity Football Team at Dartmouth College.  Before focusing his efforts entirely on football in 2007, Lane was also a highly competitive alpine ski racer, twice representing the United States at the Whistler Cup in Whistler, B.C., Canada.  Through his parents' small business, Lane was exposed to the business world at an early age, and over the years has developed a passion for the business industry.  He has worked for NBC Sports at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, B.C., and is currently interning at the Dartmouth Varsity Athletic Department in their Marketing and Promotions office.  During the 2010 summer, Lane participated in the highly selective Tuck Business Bridge Program, developing skills in corporate finance, financial accounting, strategy, managerial economics, spreadsheet modeling, and management communication.  He is currently considering a career in marketing, but is also contemplating a career in finance or consulting.

Co-Director of Alumni Relations: Kyle Battle '11

Kyle is a Dartmouth '11 and injured member of the Varsity Football team. He played for the BIg Green for two seasons before his career was ended by a back injury. He currently is active in the Dartmouth Football office as well as in sports information with the lacrosse and basketball teams. He is looking to work with an NFL franchise before transitioning into sports journalism. He has worked with ProCamps Worldwide for four summers. ProCamps is a sports events management company that organizes youth camps for some of the nations most high profile athletes including, but not limited to, Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, Reggie Bush, Dwight Howard and Chad Ochocinco.

Director of Communications: Katie Horner '11

Katie Horner is an '11 History Major and is a member of the Varsity Women's Ice Hockey team. She is an avid sports fan and hopes to combine her love of sports and passion of networking and socializing after her collegiate career.  Katie has mentored and interned in the marketing department for her hometown Minnesota Twins and hopes to continue working in Major League Baseball.  Katie is currently in the process of deciding what aspect of front office work best suits her abilities. She enjoys the time she has spent working in public relations and marketing departments and is curious if management or agency may be appropriate career paths.

Director of Event Planning: Bianca Smith '12

Bianca is a '12 Sociology major and student manager of the Dartmouth Cheer Team.  A knee injury ended her sports career but also contributed to her interest in sports business. She is an avid sports fan, especially baseball, football, and hockey.  Although she has yet to experience working in the world of professional sports, she is very familiar with working in lower levels, having been a youth softball coach for two seasons, volunteering for a high school softball team and her local YMCA basketball program, and working for the Dartmouth Baseball Team.  She is currently considering a career in sports and animal law.

Director of Finance: Orli Kleiner '12

Orli P. Kleiner '12 is an Economic Sociology major and Hebrew Language and Literature minor who has also studied economics, statistics, globalization, American public policy, American thought and culture, and English literature.  She is the founder, author, and administrator of a baseball blog that has won several finalist awards.  She has interned in a grassroots marketing capacity for the Dartmouth College Athletic Department as well as in business analysis and programming marketing roles for a major sports television network in the Boston area.  Orli is a member of several diverse student organizations at Dartmouth College that allow her to hone her leadership and teamwork skills.
